When you cannot find the comic book you desire, this place will offer you a couple solutions 1. He can special order it for you 2. You can sign up for a subscription. In April (3months ago) we caved and ordered a specific comic before it came out so we would guarantee it to be there. He then made an excuse that he only ordered enough for his subscription people, then we kept getting excuses. We ended up buying it somewhere else so we could catch up. It's been 3 months and we still have not gotten the issue from him and he also has not offered to give a refund or a different comic book in exchange.
My boyfriend and I love going into a comic book store when our favorite comics come out. The few that we buy in person instead of buying online for download are Wonder Woman, The Flash, and Green Arrow. However, when we come here we can never find what we're looking for. This is because they only purchase very few copies of each new comic in order to get guaranteed business by selling a subscription to you. This tactic is understandable for some businesses, however, we sometimes prefer the variant covers or we're not in town and want to pick it up at the closest comic book store.
I'm not sure if this is how he prefers to run the business or we keep catching him at the worst times, but until things change I have to take my business elsewhere.
Love it! I live in North Carolina now, but I still sport my glorious Hall of Heroes shirt around Raleigh.
