4. They just seem to have the same old stuff in the same shelves, season after season, covered in dust. They need variety, a remodel, and new products.
1. Most importantly and egregiously, they sell old beers (many of them hoppy IPAs which don't age) at the same price as the fresh date. It's ironic to see Stone's Enjoy By series with the label "devastatingly fresh" next to the 10.31.15. They have two options: mark down the bottle or send it back. Stone (and many breweries alike) buys back their old beer that hasn't sold--I've informed the employees and they said they'd talk to their distributors, but nothing ever happens. I've also seen a 2-year old Stone RuinTEN and a 1.5-yr old Dogfish Head 90-minute. Their winter warmer and pumpkin ales also last a full three seasons before pulled. This prevents newer, fresher products from being introduced to us.
Decent Michigan craft beer room, single bottle selection, and mostly friendly employees, but there are many issues:
Always good service and selection
AWESOME Wine and alcohol selection. If you want an obscure beverage, there's a good chance this store will have it in stock.
Decent selection
Update, 9/19/17. Saw Great Lakes Christmas Ale in stock. Last year's. For $13.99.
3. Their prices on several beers are FAR above average. Chimay Blue should not be listed at 15.99 when I can get it at Meijer for $12.99, often $11.99 on sale.
2. Sometimes I wait minutes just to return bottles. However, they know me, so I don't have to have them look at everything I have, which saves time and annoyance.
