For a place that is supposidely “kid friendly,” it shouldn’t even matter if your 21 or not trying to get dinner at 6:30pm on a Friday. I wasn’t even allowed past the door by the doorman not even to just get dinner because I was 20 and not 21. Don’t ever plan on going back to this place if it’s not going to allow someone who’s willing to pay for dinner not come in and sit down because they’re not old enough to order alcohol. I’m originally from a big city and I’ve never had this problem growing up, trying to get dinner at a bar even when I was in high school and going out with friends
The bar was heavily overstaffed on this particular Monday, and were very clearly inexperienced. They weren't that friendly either, but I chalk that up to their youth. Not their fault but I hope that they gain more experience in mixology and simple bartender etiquette before I go back there. I ordered a double on the rocks and when my drink got served another girl behind the bar began to chide the one serving me over too heavy a pour. First... It was a 3 dollar special night so bugger off. Second, she didn't know I ordered a double. Third, wait until I'm not standing right there to start getting weird about my drink order. Be cool, ladies, it was an empty bar on a Monday, have some fun yeah?
Don't get me wrong, the Gator is nice. Well made place with tons to do. Video games, pool. Its nice. However, the staff I feel is under experienced.
I love this bar! I’m here every week and I’m never disappointed! Great food, great staff and awesome drink specials!! I love the gator!!
Took 10 minutes after we were seated to get menus. After that no one spoke to us again. A group of about 7 walked in and got helped right away. It's not that they didn't have the staff either. 3 of their waitresses were just standing/talking behind the bar. After 20 minutes of waiting we left.
