Large, sprawling park with lots of amenities. A lot of pleasant picnic areas; nice playground equipment; areas for sports. Also the site of My. Pleasany's Thursday Farmer's Market, which is one of the best in the area, with a wide assortment of foods plus food trucks.
Great for the young kids. Has a splash park for the kids. The Farmers' Market is held here on Thursdays from June 6th through October 31st, starting at 7:30 am and ending around 3 pm. Veterans memorial park also.
Beautiful park. The new Timber Town is awesome. Kids of all ages can enjoy it. This park has something for everyone. From a skate park to volley ball nets.

I grew up in Mt. Pleasant and was so excited to be able to take my son to Island Park. So glad I did! They have made renovations, but it still has the same feel it did when I was a kid. My son loved it which made me really happy. It's still the best playground I've been to. I may be biased, but I honestly think it's great for the kids.
