Dude sold me an Oscar. I asked what would be compatible with my baby Oscar. He sold me a huge blue frontosa for $60. The frontosa died so I came in and asked what I did wrong. He told me I shouldn't have put an Oscar and a frontosa in the same tank. He also says he is the only one that sells sponge filters...just bought one at soldan's. Good news is my Oscar is huge now and the guy has some useful information.
Larry is so knowledgeable and friendly, this is truly a family operated business. His dogs are super friendly and his prices are amazing. Can't say enough about how fantastic this place is.

I've been in here twice and my wife went in another time on her own with our son. EVERY TIME has been a positive experience. Sure it's not a huge shop, but that's ok! Larry is always eager to share a little bit of knowledge on things...even on interesting things you aren't considering buying. Last night we went in just for a shrimp...he opened the shop up for us and got us what we came for, showed us around the shop (my wife thought the eels were really cool) and we left with a few other items. Don't miss out on visiting this place.
I was in mt.p looking for freshwater fish for my planted tanks and he came out and said it that he really doesn't have what I was looking for but he did have a few barbs, guppies, and angel fish. He was more than willing to educate me on both fresh and saltwater fish and corals. And I was more than happy to listen. I didn't have any problem with his store, his kids, or his dogs as many of the bad reviews state. And with his prices I just recently tore my nano planted tank down and converted it into a salt water, and I'm sure if I've got any questions he will be more than happy to answer and help me get my tank stocked and ready to go.
