I would never take my car here again and I would advice everyone else to avoid Adam's. I took my car there in an emergency situation with a false sense of trust and they took advantage of the fact that I was a young mostly clueless girl. They returned my car to me with a leaking fuel filter that they caused and left my car unsafe and unable to drive. When I got it towed back for them to fix their damage they returned it with the fuel filter zip tied instead of with a bracket. Highly unprofessional and I am very disappointed in my service.
The man upon entry was snide at best. I went in for an alignment, and left without one as there were repairs needed to be done to my vehicle. After they charged me for not being able to do anything (which they haven't done in the past), they told me it would be my Right Outer Tire Rod needing fixed. I bought the part and traveled to my mechanic, who is located in Coleman. When my vehicle was taken apart for the repair, he discovered it was not the Right Outer but, in fact, the Left Outer. The parts were not interchangeable. So I am out 25 dollars at Adams, the price of gas from and extra 100 miles of travel and to top it off, the wear and tear on my jeep. Thank you Adam's Auto. You certainly are the best!
Not impressed at all. I won't be going back regardless of any Groupon or other specials. It just isn't worth it.
I stumbled across a Groupon deal for Adam's Auto Repair, so I thought that I'd check them out. I had Groupons for 2 oil changes and a coolant flush, so I had 3 opportunities to experience this place. I was quite disappointed. First, realize that this is not a FAST place. Unlike most oil changes in 15-20 minutes, it will likely take 45 minutes to an hour. And that is after you have to schedule it (often several days out). It seems illogical to me that most places can do an oil change in 15 minutes when you drive up without an appointment -- and this place can barely do it in under an hour with a preset timeslot.
The oil change is supposed to include the standard "full whatever-point inspection" of the car including other fluid levels and such. Right after my oil change, I checked my fluids at home and discovered that my engine coolant was well below what it should have been. They clearly hadn't even bother to check. So, don't expect anything other than an oil change that takes way too long. Clearly, they didn't spend the extra time doing any detailed "inspection."
They expected me to pay for another windshield wiper repair when their “repair” didn’t last 2 days. Terrible service
Adam's is my first choice for anything that goes wrong with my car! I feel confident that Adam's is honest and provides the best deals even for a young, female that knows nothing about cars like myself. Additionally, they have allowed me to use a student discount every time that I have went in and never have a problem with me giving an estimate of time of when I can come in for an appt. All of the staff are friendly and go above and beyond by providing me coffee in the waiting room with their own personal stash of coffee creamer. (It's the little things.) ❤️
And that was actually the "not that big of a deal" part of this whole set of transactions! The real problem was when I bought the engine coolant system flush. This is supposed to be a full coolant system flush with new coolant. Because I was a bit skeptical after the oil change, I decided to really check out my car after the coolant flush. After I got my car home and let it cool off, I opened up both my coolant reservoir and the coolant cap and took a cup of coolant out of each to see how it looked. This should have been nice, clean, brand-new engine coolant. Instead, it was brown/rust murky old coolant. The engine cap even still had old junk on the cap itself. They clearly had done a very poor job with the "coolant flush" itself and hadn't even bothered to wipe off the engine cap!
This was after having my car all day. (I took it for a morning appointment and asked them to call me when it was done. They never even called -- I finally called at 4pm to make sure it was done so that I could go pick it up before they closed.)
